05 January 2010 Tuesday.

Very productive couple of days, Finished the Baobab tree, will give it a day or two for drying time before it gets packaged and sent to the USA.

I’m busy with a more simplistic “Landscape” painting. I did the undercoat this afternoon, what a mission! I thought it was going to be a reasonably easy task…

It is a large surface for “upside down” painting, I had to keep moving the easel from one side to another to reach the edges and to be able to keep the color consistent all the way through.

I used turpentine to thin the paint, so that it would spread easier. It kept running down the brush and messing on my chest. I tried applying it faster that caused greater paint splatter and incorrect strokes.

At one stage I felt fluid running down my lip, I licked it off before it ran down my chin, I did this twice before the taste hit me, I was so close to finished, my teeth were sore and I didn’t want to start with a new brush, so continued till finish. Turpentine is not a taste easily lost, I now smell and taste the stuff everywhere! Might consider going to water color or acrylic for this reason.

My mouth and teeth are taking mayor strain, I’ll take a military buddies advice and “Hardenthefuckup”.

Been thinking about website,

I am trying to get the editing right, not happening fast enough…

Definitely need an extra camera, my old computer won’t handle it. New one will, but it’s another month before I can afford the 42 inch screen for the new computer stand. Only then will construction take place. So I suspect it will only happen in 2 months time…

Anybody familiar with Nero 9 editing? I need help?
