"Pain"
Oil painting on canvas by Dieter Marzinger

2009
The loops in this artwork represents thought.
The hands positioned on the face in that manner don't suggest much other than frustration... and shame
maybe.
The red makes it very dramatic.
I relate to this oil painting on canvas and think if you psychoanalyse it, without much skill you'd be mostly
right.
I'm fairly good at keeping the "Black Dog" at bay, using
Churchill's metaphor for depression, but by no means impervious to it. When I get consumed within it's
spiral thought dark passions flow...
I donated this painting and it was auctioned to collect funds for UNICEF, not a good price under
the hammer in my opinion but that's not the point really,
When in a state of self absorbed ficsation, do something that is totally against the ruling
trend... Consider others and then act, physically do something for someone else.
This was the reason for donating the artwork.
This concludes Dieter Marzinger's Conceptual Artworks, we now move to
his
"Art Studio" an unusual place for oil painting on canvas...

An original painting by Dieter Marzinger,
South African mouth painter who specializes in oil paint on canvas, this conceptual artwork is entitled "Pain" not
for sale.
