A self developed style, I was frustrated with my sketching limitations, I couldn't press hard to get dark color, I couldn't smudge lines with my thumb and the pencil can only make contact with the drawing surface perpendicular.

So with pencil, turpentine and black oil paint I get this high contrast ability.
