It has been a while that I’ve been trying to come up with a SF painting.

My problem always was: What can you paint that you can’t do on a photograph?  What will not be corny but original and descriptive?

I need accurate footage of something like this photograph:

This is where I need your help and consultation please?

Let’s imagine they deep in enemy territory with no support, 3 Recce’s doing a fast extraction, their ambush was triggered and they now need to get out of enemy territory, an escape and evasion situation maybe? they going to do it by foot.

What kit would they have with them?

What weapons?

How would they look?

If they running for their lives, would they be in single file like this?

I want a photograph of this, can you supply me??

I want 5 Recce's "We fear naught but God", can you get it for me? 

I think it should be engraved on the frame of the painting, compass rose too.

dis briljante idee....idees fotos en kit het ek baie van..en advies...maar hoekom 3 recce, ambush etc???  of is dit sommer net idee wat jy klank bord??  

is jou idees nog vaag of wil jy he ek moet voorstel klankbord....???

My Reply:

Glad you like the idea, your response is well thought of, I am using you as a consultant, (correct terminology if need be).

I confirm that this is a solid idea, however to ensure synchronization  I need to share,  use imagination, create a scene, the idea I have is-

A small team Recce’s lay an ambush, it get’s triggered, they kill lots, fire/flames break out, explosions…  they know the light is going to alert enemy forces, they must fast track out of there.

Home is 100km from there, no evacuation pending, it is “long run time”. – that’s the scene.

I need you to , correct terminology if need be.?  

The composition of the painting that I have in my mind is 3 figures, it could be 2 or equally 4 or 5. Do you need a rough example?

My worst case scenario is:

Somebody says: I don’t agree with kit or weapons, and gives a strong argument.

It has got to be 1970-1980 bush war authentic.

klank bord???  debateer...gesels...idees uitruil engelsman....sal bietjie dink en jou idees stuur...small team = jig man wat van snipers...urban teams ....raiding teams...small teams is nie fighters nie dis ouens wat hou van le en kyk maar nie doen nie...kry jou prioritiete reg man...

I knew you’d get me sorted out  quickly, lekker!

I like raiding team, let’s imagine they fucked a supply convoy up. Is that better Major?

How many on a team if you deep in enemy territory?
